We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Safety Scientist to join our dynamic team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a senior member of our Medical Physics Department, you will provide expert scientific support and advice to our Consultants, clinical, scientific, technical, nursing, and other staff on complex issues related to radiation safety.
- You will work autonomously, with the freedom to initiate action within broad scientific principles, and act as or train to act as a Medical Physics Expert or Radiation Protection Adviser for aspects of our service.
- Our ideal candidate will have advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of Radiation Safety and will be responsible for providing specialist scientific support and advice on the interpretation of relevant guidance related to the provision of a safe and effective service using radiation.
- You will undertake specific research and development activities, and keep abreast of new developments in your field, ensuring that our services remain at the forefront of radiation safety.
- As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of our services, working closely with our Consultants, clinical, scientific, technical, nursing, and other staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of Radiation Safety
- Expertise in Medical Physics and Radiation Protection
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions within broad scientific principles
