About Our Client

Our client is a development organisation based in Cornwall, seeking a skilled Development Manager to lead their construction projects.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working within the construction industry, managing complex projects or portfolios, with excellent financial / commercial understanding of build costs, risk and variations.

Job Description

  • Manage multiple projects from design through to handover and aftercare, ensuring a quality build, safely and to agreed budgets and time scales.
  • Implementing contracting and procurement strategy, including the appointment of contractors and suppliers.
  • Lead monthly project meetings, pre-construction, and construction stages, producing build programmes and review design / technical approvals.
  • Manage risk and opportunity, ensuring build costs are controlled, CVR meetings, reviewing over costs and variations.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working within the construction industry, managing complex projects or portfolios.
  • Excellent financial / commercial understanding of build costs, risk and variations.
  • Both developer & construction experience is preferred, ideally working within a client-side environment would be preferred.
  • Full project lifecycle knowledge.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent within a construction-related discipline and preferably a membership of a professional organisation.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, plus car allowance, private medical insurance, pension and a performance-related bonus.
