Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our care home, working closely with the Home Manager and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of care professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to residents

• Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of residents

• Ensure the effective management of care home operations, including budgeting, financial management, and human resources

• Collaborate with the Home Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve care quality and resident satisfaction

• Provide leadership and guidance to care staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent care

• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care experience for residents

Requirements

• Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care

• Experience of working in the healthcare sector

• Management/leadership experience and qualification (desirable)

• Hold an NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with an active PIN

• A caring nature with ability to give everyone a personal approach

• Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice

• Work well under pressure without negative impact to those around you

• Warm, approachable, and engaging persona

• Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated

• Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents
