Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our care home, working closely with the Home Manager and multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of care professionals to deliver exceptional care and support to our residents.

  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.

  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to ensure the effective management of the care home, including budgeting, financial controls, and human resources.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues to promote their professional development and growth.

  • Act as a role model, demonstrating a kind, caring, and compassionate approach to care, and promoting a culture of excellence and respect within the care home.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care.

  • Experience of working within the healthcare sector.

  • Management/Leadership experience (essential) and qualification (desirable).

  • Hold an NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with an active PIN.

  • A caring nature with the ability to give everyone a personal approach.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice.

  • Work well under pressure without negative impact on those around you.

  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona.

  • Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated.

  • Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents.
