We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Leader to join our team at ACS Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of operatives and ensuring the smooth operational running of our manufacturing process.
Main Responsibilities:- Production Tracking and Quality Targets: Achieve site performance and quality targets through effective planning and running of the shift.
- Health and Safety: Enforce Health & Safety protocols to protect staff, contractors, and visitors, and be accountable for your own and others' health and safety.
- Team Motivation and Development: Motivate a team of operatives through good communication, training, and development to ensure staff understand their roles and the role within the team.
- Administration and Reporting: Implement and monitor company processes and procedures, and capture all administration through to completion, including accurate and timely completion of management reports.
- Shift Planning and Production: Produce shift production planning prior to the next shift commencing, and provide cover for the supervisor/manager when required for liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Stock Rotation and Quality Control: Monitor stock rotation through a FIFO system, and carry out QC checks in line with processes.
- Hygiene and Maintenance: Carry out various hygiene tasks, including monitoring and implementation of PPE equipment to all staff, and check prestart checks on machines.
- Leadership and Communication: Lead a team in a hands-on role, in the warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment, and communicate with customers when required.
- Accident Reporting and Fire Safety: Ensure all accidents and near miss events are reported immediately, with sufficient root cause analysis documented and copies supplied to the SHE team, and ensure adequate fire safety arrangements are in place.
- HR Tasks and Agency Liaison: Carry out HR tasks as necessary, including return to work and holiday planning procedures, and liaise with agency worker providers.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in warehouse logistics with good people management skills, and experience of delivering on targets, quality processes, and H&S. They will have worked in a fast-paced, process-driven manufacturing, production, or distribution/logistics environment, and have experience in identifying system improvements with potential cost savings. Proven experience in performance management and people management is also a pre-requisite.

- Conscientiousness: Reliable, honest, and treats people with respect.
- PC/IT Skills: Able to complete all duties requiring the use of applications such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, Emails, and Teams.
