**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of our Peterborough location. As a key player in the industry, our client prides itself on a commitment to delivering excellent service and is now seeking a Transport Operations Manager to lead all group transport activity/operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a small Administration & Planning team along with c. 50 drivers.
- Oversee the subcontract & Haulier relationships across the region - c. 15 vehicles.
- Lead all operational H&S, Compliance and Fleet Maintenance agendas across the Transport operation.
- Ensure seamless coordination and optimisation of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective.
- Implement best practices whilst ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform.
- Provide developmental opportunities within the business.
**Requirements**
- A Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain Background - Essential.
- A CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations – Essential.
- 3+ years Transport management experience within a 3PL / FMCG / Food / Haulage or Retail environment – Essential.
- Proven experience in managing 50+ vehicles – Essential.
- Sub-contract management experience - Highly Advantageous.
- A true passion for people development, providing excellent service and continuous improvement - Advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence - Essential.
- Commutable to the Peterborough region each day - Essential.
**What We Offer**
- Salary - £45,000 to £50,000.
- Company Car / Car Allowance (£5,000)
