Job Summary
The London Borough of Newham is seeking a Communications and Development Officer to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on strategic partnerships, marketing and communications, and project development.
The role will work closely with the Project Manager and engage with Regeneration colleagues who are managing the capital element of the project.
The post holder will be line managed by the Heritage Centre Project Manager, and will be part of a newly created project team.
The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative and enthusiastic with communications skills, and will bring with them the ability to work comfortably with a variety of people.
The role is fixed term initially until December 2025, with the aim to extend until September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on strategic partnerships, marketing and communications, and project development
- Work closely with the Project Manager and engage with Regeneration colleagues
- Be line managed by the Heritage Centre Project Manager
- Be part of a newly created project team

Working Environment
The role is based in the London Borough of Newham, and the successful candidate will be working in a vibrant and diverse borough with a strong sense of community spirit.
