About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teaching professional to join our Adult Community Learning team at Bath College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning courses for adults at various venues across the region.
  • Plan and deliver specialist sessions using effective teaching methods that meet Ofsted standards.
  • Support and advise learners to help them progress through the course, providing clear personal objectives and developmental feedback.
  • Produce plans of learning, learning materials, and other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
  • Ensure that contextualized personal development is embedded into all course planning and delivery.
  • Adhere to all quality processes within RARPA guidelines.
  • Effectively induct learners into courses, ensuring clear communication on expectations, personal development, and safeguarding.
  • Provide pathways and identify CEIAG support for learners to support them in their progression at the college.
  • Lead course planning and development, ensuring that the provision meets the needs of all learners and there is timely completion of the course and registers.
  • Identify and procure resource requirements for courses, communicating timely with the ACL coordinator and administration team.
  • Awareness and reporting of identification of students' individual needs and coordination of relevant support to meet their needs.
  • Provide pastoral support to learners, liaising with central support staff where necessary.
  • Ensure that students have an opportunity to give feedback on their learning experience.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the course through the application of the course review and evaluation process.
  • Act as a point of contact for communications to and from students.
  • Work proactively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • At least a Level 3 in the area of specialism or study.
  • Equivalent of GCSE grade 4 (Previously C grade) or above in English & Mathematics.
