Bath College is seeking a skilled and experienced Adult Community Learning Tutor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning courses for adults at various venues across Bath and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities- Course Design and Delivery: Plan and deliver specialist sessions using appropriate teaching methods in line with Ofsted standards.
- Learner Support: Support, advise, and assist learners to help them progress through the course by providing clear personal objectives and developmental feedback.
- Course Planning and Development: Produce plans of learning, learning materials, and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that contextualized personal development is embedded into all course planning and delivery, and adhere to all quality processes within RARPA guidelines.
- Induction and Progression: Effectively induct learners into courses, ensuring clear communication on expectations, personal development, and safeguarding, and provide pathways and identify CEIAG support for learners to support them in their progression at the college.
- Course Leadership: Lead course planning and development, ensuring that the provision meets the needs of all learners and there is timely completion of the course and registers.
- Resource Management: Identify and efficiently procure resource requirements for courses, communicating timely with the ACL coordinator and administration team.
- Student Support: Provide pastoral support to learners, liaising with central support staff where necessary, and ensure that students have an opportunity to give feedback on their learning experience.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of the course through the application of the course review and evaluation process, and act as a point of contact for communications to and from students.
- Departmental Support: Work proactively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.
- Teaching Qualification: Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Specialist Knowledge: At least a Level 3 in the area of specialism or study.
- English and Mathematics: Equivalent of GCSE grade 4 (Previously C grade) or above in English & Mathematics.
