Regional Delivery Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Delivery Manager to drive the success of our regional operations. This role is accountable for ensuring that our business meets the expectations of our clients and customers by delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Regional Delivery Manager will be responsible for guiding, coaching, and managing a team of Community Delivery Managers to achieve regional performance targets and customer satisfaction. This includes influencing the build and delivery of regional budgets, managing cost, and ensuring the team understands the financial impact of their decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving regional performance targets and customer satisfaction through effective team management and coaching.
  • Influencing the build and delivery of regional budgets, including courier fees, contractor spend, and team expenses.
  • Maximizing service coverage of courier deliveries and collections within the region through successful recruitment and engagement of couriers.
  • Accountable for the resource planning of couriers through pipeline review and collaboration with the Resource Planner.
  • Driving courier performance to ensure the success of a seven-day operation.
  • Responsible for the delivery unit estate within their region, including location, procurement, and management of delivery units.
  • Building and maintaining a strong, productive, and professional local union relationship with the GMB.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment through adherence to the Code of Conduct and SOPs.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with peers and key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Accountable for customer complaint escalation management and timely resolution.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current UK driving license.
  • A Level 3 Management Qualification or equivalent.
  • An IOSH Qualification or equivalent.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Previous experience of coaching, supporting, and motivating colleagues.
  • Problem-solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions.
  • Experience of maintaining local union relationships.
  • Previous experience of managing an agile team.
  • Knowledge of the self-employed courier model.
  • Previous experience of setting and managing a budget.
