Job Title: Regional Operations Manager

As a Regional Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in achieving this mission by leading the planning, management, and monitoring of all plant operations within a specific region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement regional business plans to drive profitable performance and achieve corporate strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Optimize the performance of assets and resources to ensure each branch in the region achieves specific goals in terms of customer service and operational service delivery.
  • Coach plant processing teams to optimize their personal performance and individual development.
  • Ensure operational compliance with relevant legislation, including engineering, PLC, H&S, maintenance, standard operating procedures, working time directive, and site permit license requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure operational compliance and permit obligations.
  • Monitor branch performance reporting and take action to identify areas of concern, rectify the causes of under-achievement, and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Implement a policy of continuous improvement and develop, present, and implement new ideas to improve service delivery standards.
  • Manage regional expenditure and business planning to ensure financial budgets and future capex requirements are managed and controlled in accordance with Stericycle's financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to all team members through the provision of objectives, responsibilities, and accountabilities, managing performance accordingly.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable track record in managing plant processes and extensive knowledge in the specialized field.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, proven experience managing P&L.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to review and analyze complex financial/business reports/data and generate innovative solutions/corrective action plans.
  • Confidently deal with a multitude of projects and changing priorities.
  • Experience of managing capital projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, data entry ability, and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools.
