About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced School Admin Assistant to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Manchester. As a key member of the administration department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- General administrative duties, including managing emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
- Handling student records and updating databases, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assisting with the organisation of school events, meetings, and appointments.
- Managing attendance records and liaising with parents regarding absences.
- Supporting the finance team with invoicing, petty cash, and other financial tasks where necessary.
- Providing a warm, welcoming reception to visitors, parents, and students.
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, newsletters, and other communications for staff and parents.
- Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous administrative experience within a school environment is essential.
- A good understanding of school systems and protocols, including attendance monitoring and student data management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally some experience with school management software (SIMS, Arbor, or similar).
- A friendly, professional, and approachable demeanour, able to work well in a busy school setting.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
