As a tax intern at RSM, you will work with large and small companies in various industries. You will develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. You will work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment.

Examples of your responsibilities may include:

  • Working on a team that focuses on a wide range of tax specialty areas, including accounting for income taxes, corporate taxation, and individual taxation.
  • Completing tax planning and research.
  • Preparing federal and state tax returns.
  • Understanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.

Basic qualifications include:

  • 90 credit hours completed.
  • Working towards a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university.
  • Accounting major.
  • Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange for reliable transportation.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
