Personal Care Specialist

As a Personal Care Specialist with The Cumbria County Council, you will provide personal, social, and emotional support to adults in the local community in a caring and compassionate way. You will work with each individual to understand their needs and preferences, supporting them to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Support adults with wide-ranging needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
- Follow a support plan created through discussion with the person accessing the service.
- Provide personal care requirements, medication, and other needs agreed in the plan.
- Work with individuals to improve their quality of life, increase confidence, and promote independence.
Salary: £12.80 per hour (permanent opportunities available)
The ideal candidate will have experience of providing support, working in a person-centred manner, and delivering exceptional service. They should be able to respond to service users who may not always be accessible via public transport due to geographical dispersal. We aim to work with candidates individually to find a role that suits them.
