About the Role:

eNL Legal Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Head of Planning to join our client, a leading national law firm. As a key member of the firm's planning team, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development of a talented team of planning lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on a wide range of planning matters, including residential and commercial developments in the private and public sectors.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to ensure clients receive the highest quality of legal advice and representation.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with the partnership, particularly the real estate team, to drive business growth and development.
  • Prepare a strategic business plan as part of the recruitment process, outlining a three-year strategy for growth and development of the planning team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 10 years of PQE and a strong background in planning law, both in the private and public sectors.
  • Ideally, a partner in a law firm looking for the next challenge in their career.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team across multiple locations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
  • Technical expertise in all aspects of planning, highways, and environmental law.
