Job Summary

ISS Facility Services UK is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational effectiveness and reliability of our plant and associated electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with set schedules to ensure engineering standards are maintained.
  • Ensure quality assurance procedures are adhered to and maintain accurate records/documentation associated with electrical aspects of maintenance.
  • Conduct technical surveys of electrical services and systems, reporting findings to the Engineering Services Manager and producing cost estimates for minor works.
  • Coordinate initial actions associated with client requests, dealing with customer enquiries and complaints, and reporting actions taken to line management.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and perform minor installation work to electrical services and systems.
  • Repair and maintain lighting and distribution systems.
  • Coordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical aspects of maintenance schedules, surveying and accepting new works carried out by sub-contractors.

Requirements

  • Clear experience and qualifications in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering.

About the Role

This is a key role that drives exceptional teamwork and individual ownership across our clients' facilities. The successful candidate will positively contribute to team performance and have a strong customer care focus, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

You will manage day-to-day control of the engineering team, coordinate all planned and reactive works, including booking and controlling subcontractor works, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are fully adhered to, while championing a proactive and positive approach towards Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
