Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team at our Rosyth, Dunfermline site. As a Pipe Fitter, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing, repairing, and replacing of pipe work using a variety of industry-standard materials.

The Role

As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Documenting and reporting Dimension Control, Traceability, and Quality standards
  • Determining job requirements and planning/configuring equipment materials
  • Installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leaks, testing, repair, and maintenance of various pipe systems
  • Fabrication, Pipe bending, Welding, pipe fitting on sight (on board ship) Manual Handling, Housekeeping
  • Identifying hazards, problems, defects, and the need for replacement, adjustment, or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices, and health and safety

This position involves working in confined spaces and heights. Candidates must be able to work comfortably and perform tasks in restricted spaces and heights.

Essential Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
  • Demonstrable knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Able to read Engineering Drawings

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold:

  • Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
