About the Role
As a Pipe Fitter - Fabrication Specialist at Babcock International Group, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing, repairing, and replacing of pipe work using a variety of industry-standard materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Documenting and reporting Dimension Control, Traceability, and Quality standards
- Determining job requirements and planning/configuring equipment materials
- Installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leaks, testing, repair, and maintenance of various pipe systems
- Fabrication, Pipe bending, Welding, pipe fitting on sight (on board ship) Manual Handling, Housekeeping
- Identify hazards, problems, defects, and the need for replacement, adjustment, or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices, and health and safety
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Good working knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
- Demonstrable knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Able to read Engineering Drawings
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
