About the Role

As a Pipe Fitter - Fabrication Specialist at Babcock International Group, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing, repairing, and replacing of pipe work using a variety of industry-standard materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documenting and reporting Dimension Control, Traceability, and Quality standards
  • Determining job requirements and planning/configuring equipment materials
  • Installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leaks, testing, repair, and maintenance of various pipe systems
  • Fabrication, Pipe bending, Welding, pipe fitting on sight (on board ship) Manual Handling, Housekeeping
  • Identify hazards, problems, defects, and the need for replacement, adjustment, or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices, and health and safety

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
  • Demonstrable knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Able to read Engineering Drawings

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
