Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex mental health conditions in older adults.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice and innovation in mental health care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, adhering to NHS standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Entry on the GMC Register.
  • Approved Clinician Status.
  • Section 12(2) Approved under the Mental Health Act (MHA).
  • Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST.
  • 3 years or equivalent medical experience.
  • 6 months experience in relevant clinical area.
  • Evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental illness.
