About the Role
We are seeking a talented Purchasing Officer to support our client's Supply Chain team in Northumberland. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, building relationships with suppliers, and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet business needs
- Budget management and cost control
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory levels
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
