Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and developing mechanical components, systems, and products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and products using CAD software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to assess design concepts, performance, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated and optimised designs.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design integrity and performance.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation to support manufacturing, assembly, and quality assurance processes.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and evaluation of designs to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5 years) in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with project management and product lifecycle management (PLM) software is a plus.
