Job Summary

Alrewas Surgery is seeking an experienced Nurse to join our team in a semi-rural area between Lichfield and Burton on Trent. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and work collaboratively with the primary healthcare team.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing and maintaining a high standard of nursing care for patients
  • Assisting doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team
  • Supporting patients to be healthy through health promotion and protection
  • Encouraging healthy living options and screening activities
  • Participating in routine immunisations and vaccinations
  • Assisting in emergency situations and ensuring emergency equipment is well-stocked and maintained
About Us

Alrewas Surgery is a semi-rural practice serving 7000 patients. We are a staff team of 27, including GPs, nurses, HCA, clinical pharmacists, and administrative and management staff.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Competent basic nursing duties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of health and safety and infection control requirements
  • Competent IT skills

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Interest in or knowledge of diabetes management
  • Experience of EMIS Web clinical system
  • Trained in diabetes care and management
  • Trained in phlebotomy and wound care
