Job Summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a skilled Test Fitter to join our team. As a Test Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and dismantling pumps for Original Equipment and Aftermarket orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install pumps and ancillary equipment, including setting out and securing temporary foundations, pipework installation, and rotor alignment.
  • Participate in operational tests, controlling test parameters such as temperatures and pressures within acceptable limits.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, working with others to resolve issues.
  • Break down temporary test arrangements and store equipment away according to departmental procedures.
  • Perform maintenance activities on test department equipment to ensure maximum reliability and availability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, drive down costs, and increase productivity.
  • Work in other assembly areas as required.
  • Collaborate with managers and test department personnel to implement company policies and goals.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Provide support and training to peers and apprentices as needed.
Requirements
  • Time-served Mechanical Fitter with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to manage risks within the test environment.
  • Experience with rotating equipment and laser alignment is advantageous.
  • Understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to work within a team to execute tasks under tight timeframes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to obtain National Security Vetting and security clearance up to SC level.

Working Conditions

The work environment is moderate noise, with the ability to work in an open-planned office or individual office. The role requires sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods and occasional travel by air or road.
