Job Title: Ecommerce Team Lead

Salary: £42,500 per annum (estimated)

About the Role:

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Team Lead to drive online sales growth and improve customer experience. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our ecommerce strategy, manage 5 separate ecommerce websites, digital marketing, conversion optimisation, and online customer experience.

The Ecommerce Team Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless shopping experience that drives traffic, maximises conversion rates, and boosts revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ecommerce Strategy & Management :
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive online sales growth, increase customer retention, and improve user experience.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of 5 ecommerce platforms, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Ensure that the website is fully optimised for search (SEO), usability, performance, and responsiveness across devices.
  • Digital marketing & acquisition:
  • Develop, implement, and manage effective digital marketing campaigns, including paid search (PPC), display ads, SEO, email marketing, and social media.
  • Track, analyse, and report on key ecommerce metrics (traffic, conversion rates, revenue, etc.) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with the content and creative teams to produce relevant, high-quality, and engaging content.
  • Customer Journey & Conversion Optimisation:
  • Optimise the customer journey by using A/B testing, user data, and analytics to improve website functionality, user experience (UX), and conversion rates.
  • Develop and manage an ecommerce roadmap to align with business goals and priorities.
  • Inventory, Logistics and Vendor Management:
  • Coordinate with product teams and supply chain managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory across all ecommerce platforms.
  • Monitor product availability, manage stock levels, and communicate any stock or shipping issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors (such as logistics providers and payment gateways) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer service.
  1. Analytics and reporting:Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, etc.) to monitor performance, identify trends, and generate reports on ecommerce KPIs (conversion rates, average order value, customer acquisition cost, etc.).
  2. Provide actionable insights from data analysis to improve online sales, customer retention, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in ecommerce management, digital marketing, or a similar role within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
  • A background within sports/ fashion

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and affiliate marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) and conversion optimisation strategies.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse ecommerce performance metrics and make informed decisions.
