Job Summary:

Medsolve is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Children's Home Manager to oversee the operations of two existing and established children's residential homes. The homes can care and support up to 5 young people and are a short distance apart, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced manager to take on a dual management role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage two residential homes simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Support adults working with young people to achieve the highest standards of care.
  • Be involved in recruitment for both teams, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive team training and development programme to enable the services to have available all necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the young people for both homes.
  • Liaise with internal and external multidisciplinary teams and commissioning authorities.
  • Register with the regulator and uphold requirements and conditions of this registration.
  • Be part of an on-call system.

Requirements:

  • A level 5 diploma in leadership for health and social care and children and young people's services, or equivalent, or a preparedness to work towards the same.
  • Experience in a management capacity in a residential children's home.
  • Full manual driving license.
