About the Role

NHS Scotland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker in the Surgical Receiving/Assessment Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients under the direction of registered nursing staff.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver person-centered care.
  • Assist registered nursing staff in providing care and support to patients, including administering medications and treatments as directed.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and respectful environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in surgical nursing.

Requirements

  • SVQ level 3 in healthcare or equivalent higher education qualification.
  • Experience working with adults in a care setting and a genuine interest in surgical nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
