We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Lantmännen Unibake. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in championing and delivering our safety agenda across our sites in Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Bagshot.

The ideal candidate will have excellent influencing and change management skills, with a strong background in health and safety leadership. You will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, supporting incident investigations, and developing in-house health and safety training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote a strong safety culture through positive engagement
  • Support and develop incident investigations and advise on effective follow-up for corrective actions
  • Develop and conduct in-house health and safety training
  • Monitor current and potential health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace
  • Support in the development of site H&S policies
  • Monitor and maintain risk assessments applicable to our operations
  • Audit contractor and contractor host behaviors
  • Drive internal safety inspections and audits to ensure they are completed at prescribed intervals
  • Analyze accident/incident statistics and identify trends
  • Organize departmental and monthly safety committee meetings
  • Develop and successfully deliver agreed parts of the H&S plan with General Managers and Head of Health & Safety

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Commercially aware
  • Excellent communicator, influencer with good presentation skills
  • Sound with IT systems - particularly Microsoft Office
  • Strong influencer and negotiator

Experience:

  • 5 years' experience in a H&S leadership role
  • FMCG/manufacturing experience
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation
