Job Summary

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team in Kingston. This exciting opportunity will involve working with clients who have co-occurring mental health, alcohol, and/or drug issues (COMHAD).

The post will be based between our core service location at Surbiton Health Centre and the local NHS Mental Health COMHAD team at Tolworth Hospital. You will receive additional practice supervision from the local NHS Trust's COMHAD Senior Clinical Practitioner.

The Via Kingston Service

We are contracted to deliver the Kingston Wellbeing Service, an integrated drug and alcohol treatment and recovery support service for adult residents of the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. Our service is high-performing, ambitious, and well-regarded by stakeholders and the local community.

The COMHAD Service

The local NHS Trust COMHAD community services provision is a nurse-led consultation provision operating across five boroughs, supporting mainstreaming requirements within services and providing specialist provision for those with complex co-occurring mental health, alcohol, and drugs needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients who have co-occurring mental health, alcohol, and/or drug issues (COMHAD)
  • Collaborate with the local NHS Mental Health COMHAD team at Tolworth Hospital
  • Receive additional practice supervision from the local NHS Trust's COMHAD Senior Clinical Practitioner
