Job Title: Experienced Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Hampshire Wheelchair Service team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve their lifestyle goals.

About the Role:
  • You will use your clinical expertise to assess the mobility needs of adults and children, and prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.
  • You will supervise junior staff and provide clinical guidance to non-clinical colleagues, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • You will work closely with clinical and operational teams to deliver high-quality service performance, prioritizing personalized approaches and measurable outcomes.
  • You will engage with service user groups, stakeholders, and local services to facilitate joint working and identify opportunities for improving service user outcomes.
  • You will contribute to internal and external training programs, including apprenticeships and student placements, and develop internal training resources.
  • You will conduct and document necessary risk assessments and corresponding risk management, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users.
About You:
  • You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, able to balance a clinical caseload with customer-focused service delivery.
  • Experience working with patients with long-term or deteriorating medical conditions is advantageous.
  • You will be confident in using digital systems and software for record-keeping and service performance analysis.
  • You must be registered with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Clinical Scientist, or registered as a Nurse with the NMC.
  • You must hold a full current UK driving license for a manual transmission vehicle and be willing to drive Ross Care vehicles as necessary.
  • Due to the nature of the role, you will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
