Job Title: Working Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary operations and drive excellence in food quality, presentation, and consistency.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of culinary operations, including menu development, kitchen management, quality control, and staff training. This is a leadership role that requires hands-on management and a passion for creating elevated dishes using the best ingredients from local farmers and purveyors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect culinary trends and meet WECO's high standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality food preparation.
  • Conduct regular tastings and quality checks to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Mentor and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages skill advancement.
  • Oversee inventory, manage food costs, and minimize waste while ensuring freshness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment adhering to health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide a point of view on menu designs, LTO's, and seasonal menus.
  • Optimize food costs, inventory, and labor to maintain profitability without compromising quality.
  • Represent WECO on social media, in press interviews, and at events.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a reputable operation.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with high-volume batch cooking and production.
