The Role:

The Warehouse Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods within the warehouse, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe loading and unloading of vehicles, avoiding damage to persons, stock, or equipment
  • Delivering items against paperwork to ensure correct items have been delivered in the correct quantity and without damage
  • Booking in items using Helis and SAP, ensuring KPIs are met
  • Locating items safely in the warehouse or factory, using SAP or Kan Ban systems, and carrying out any necessary scanning actions
  • Picking items as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring utmost care is taken to pick the correct item and complete any required scanning activities
  • Collection of items from neighboring customers
  • Delivery to and collection from the factory line, of goods and equipment, ensuring correct paperwork is attached and KPIs are met
  • Packing items in accordance with customer directives, ensuring safe arrival and adherence to KPI timescales
  • Stocktaking activities as directed
  • Maintenance of a clean and tidy workspace, utilizing 5S principles
  • Ensuring relevant information is passed to Line Managers for non-routine duties that are not automatically invoiced
  • Effective communication with Line Managers, Supply Chain, and Administration teams
  • Keeping stock control systems up-to-date
  • Daily checks of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure work is completed in line with legal and business requirements
  • Awareness and compliance with all health and safety requirements and regulations
  • Ensuring all training is up-to-date

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Attending courses or seminars to improve performance, if applicable
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as directed by Senior Management
  • Maintaining awareness required for Aviation Security

Health and Safety:

You are personally responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others affected by your actions and omissions. You must read and understand relevant Risk Assessments and act accordingly.

Key Requirements:

  • A good command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Forklift truck certificate for counterbalance and reach trucks
  • Proven experience in high-tech warehousing in support of a production facility in a Quality Management environment
  • Good IT skills

Desirable:

  • Indoor crane use experience
