About This Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Technology Focused Consultant to join our Finance, Risk & Compliance practice at Baringa Partners LLP. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complex landscape of financial crime regulation and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for assessing and benchmarking the effectiveness of our clients' financial crime regulation, legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Implementing and/or optimising Financial Crime technology solutions such as client lifecycle management and KYC capture, transaction monitoring, customer screening, and payment screening.
  • You will support data quality assessments, data transformation/data integration (ETL), and data visualisation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of vendor products commonly used to combat Financial Crime is essential.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify top Financial Crime risks and helping firms with mitigation plans and roadmaps.
  • Designing and supporting the implementation of Financial Crime target operating models.
  • Designing and implementing a range of key Financial Crime controls, translating regulatory requirements into business and functional requirements that describe the system, data, process, and control changes required to achieve compliance.
  • You will lead the planning and delivery of Financial Crime change programmes and projects.

Your Requirements
  • We are looking for passionate and curious individuals who have excellent relationship building and communication skills, and thrive in a team environment.
  • Experience working with SQL, Python, VBA, or other programming languages is desired.
  • Experience operating within the Financial Crime space is necessary.
  • Demonstratable knowledge and understanding of the current Financial Crime legal and regulatory landscape and key regulatory initiatives is crucial.
  • The ability to constantly learn and grow whilst delivering results in a challenging client-facing environment is essential.

What We Offer
