Job Title: Youth Support & Recovery Specialist

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week (Includes shift work, weekend duties, and overnight responsibilities on a rota basis)

Salary: Opportunity for an additional £2500 with overtime compensated at time and a third

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council is committed to delivering exceptional care and education to young people aged 12-17 years. Our diverse therapeutic approach, supported by experienced professionals, ensures a holistic response to the needs of the youth.

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate patience, adaptability, and experience in working with young people. Candidates must be prepared to engage in shift work, weekend duties, and overnight responsibilities as scheduled.

The council prioritizes safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The recruitment process includes thorough assessments to ensure child protection.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the effective operation of the residential facility
  • Support positive transformations in young people's behavior and mindset
  • Adhere to Social Care Wales registration standards
  • Complete a QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People within 3 years of employment
