Production Engineer Job Description

A leading specialist engineering company is seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the Production and Calibration Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high efficiency and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in a production engineering role. Proficiency in CAD software, ERP/MRP systems, and knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, and assembly are essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality
  • Monitoring and improving production processes to minimize defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
  • Diagnosing and resolving production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and material defects
  • Leading initiatives for process improvements, cost reductions, and waste minimization using lean manufacturing principles
  • Providing technical guidance and support to production staff, including training on new equipment and processes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality records

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing process improvements is highly desirable.
