Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at Engineering Recruitment PDQ. As a key member of our Production Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to minimize defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor and improve production processes to maintain the highest standards in product reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and material defects.
- Lead initiatives for process improvements, cost reductions, and waste minimization using lean manufacturing principles.
- Provide technical guidance and support to production staff, including training on new equipment and processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality records.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a Production Engineering role, preferably in sensors or related manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), ERP/MRP systems, and knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, and assembly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of production.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of Labview and/or Python for writing and managing calibration software and databases.
