Capital Projects EHSQ Lead

About the Role

The Capital Projects EHSQ Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to support the Capital Projects team and programme. This will involve supporting the full cycle of project safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) performance of suppliers from initial development to construction and final handover stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scoping and development of project EHSQ systems and processes
  • Pre-Project Impact Risk Analysis on existing operations
  • Ensuring identified risks have been adequately addressed by suppliers and EAL Project Managers
  • Developing and implementing plans to monitor compliance through each stage of the project, including commissioning and final handover
  • Supporting the main EHSQ function on high-level projects

Requirements

  • Proven construction-related qualifications (NEBOSH Construction Certificate) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Good level of understanding of each phase of a construction project, including various engineering installations
  • Portfolio management experience with a wide range of diverse projects impacting various stakeholders at different levels
  • Previous experience of effective contractor/supplier management resulting in increased performance and reduced expenditure
  • Holding or working towards being a member of The Association of Projects Safety (iMaps or CMaps membership level)
  • Understanding of ISO Standards (ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environment, ISO45001 OH&S)
