About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to join our team as a First Contact Practitioner in the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy department at First Community Health and Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent specialist advice and clinical expertise as a first-contact physiotherapist, making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care, including in relation to undifferentiated conditions.
- See patients without prior contact with their GP, establishing a clinical impression and management plan.
- Work autonomously, taking a full history and examination, requesting investigations, interpreting results, diagnosing, and planning treatment and discharging patients attending with undifferentiated and undiagnosed minor injuries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma equivalent in physiotherapy.
- HCPC Registration.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field.
- Stage 1 Roadmap to Practice completed.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Appropriate training at MSc level or equivalent.
- Membership of a special interest group.
- Stage 2 Roadmap to Practice completed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and identify when to refer a patient to another service or for diagnostics.
