We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Senior Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team and work with us 30 hours a week to deliver top quality assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation to NHS patients in our Community Hospital.

A physiotherapist who has an experience in clinical management of patients with complex health and rehabilitation needs, who are at risk of deteriorating quality of life.

Someone interested in developing further their leadership skills, ensuring positive outcomes and quality care for patients and staff.

Someone keen to work with other health, social and community services to ensure continuity of care on discharge.

A motivated individual who is a team player and flexible, working with the multidisciplinary team to provide a seven-day service in our community hospital.

Job responsibilities

The post holderwill be part of our multi-disciplinary Bed Based Care Team, at Caterham DeneHospital, working on the ward to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions andfacilitate timely hospital discharges for patients. Caterham Dene Hospital wardis an inpatient rehabilitation ward, 365 days a year, and the therapy teamprovides a seven day a week rehabilitation service.

The post holder is responsible for providinga comprehensive and co-ordinated range of specialist physiotherapy therapeuticand preventative services which maintain or improve peoples health,independence, and quality of life.

The post holder will apply knowledge andskills across a range of conditions and medical impairments, procedures andpractices gained through practical experience and underpinned by theoreticalknowledge.

The Post Holder will need to have a fulldrivers licence and car for personal business use and be able and prepared todrive between community settings during their working day. The post holder willparticipate in the weekend and bank holiday rota.

The post holder isresponsible for:

Assessing and treating a caseloadof patients in First Community Health and Care (FCHC or First Community)Community Hospital settings who may have complex presentations whilst liaisingclosely with the multi-disciplinary team to enable rehabilitation and safedischarge planning. Treating patients who maypresent with a variety of acute and chronic conditions and significant physicalimpairments due to illness, pain or injury, psychological issues, and post-operativerehabilitation requirements. Maintaining a highstandard of clinical record keeping using our electronic clinical recordkeeping system. Providing a high standardof clinical work which will also include teaching and the supervision of juniorstaff, assistants, and students. Line management of juniorstaff.

Post registration experience in the NHS as a physiotherapist, covering a broad range of experience including rehabilitation Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or Multi-Disciplinary Team
