Job Description

Our client, a leading property management company, is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance and Electrical Supervisor to join their team at a luxury development in Westminster.

Job Summary:

  • Oversee the building electrical system, ensuring compliance with prevailing building regulations.
  • Perform PAT testing and electrical tasks, including dealing with circuit breakers and trip switches.
  • Monitor and operate the BMS system, utilizing IT skills.
  • Facilitate working with in-house boilers, pumps, generators, air conditioning systems, heating, and water systems, requiring basic engineering knowledge.
  • Diarise checks of all building systems and ensure compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Perform occasional carpentry, painting, and decorating tasks.
  • Conduct reactive and proactive maintenance on a Grade 1 Listed Heritage Property as part of a small team.
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks.
  • Liaise with and oversee outside specialist contractors.
  • Be willing to cover the roles of other staff members when called upon to do so.
  • Be willing to mentor and supervise other members of the maintenance staff.
  • Display a positive approach to team working.
  • Support the Building Managers and work under their direction where necessary.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to carry out work with a high level of accuracy, ensuring attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
  • High level of stamina and ability to move heavy items, as this is a physically demanding role.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks and duties, both complex and routine.
  • Welcoming and helpful approach when dealing with visitors to the building.
  • Experience in facility management in a similar environment would be an advantage.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
