Support Worker for Community Engagement

Avenues is a community where people thrive and grow.
We are looking for a part time Female Support Worker to work with us in Shawbury supporting a gentleman who has an Acquired Brain Injury and lives with his wife in their family home.
He enjoys engaging in discussions on current affairs, doing crosswords and word games, and enjoys the outdoors so anyone sharing those interests would be hugely beneficial in supporting him but not essential.
He provides a car to be able to get out into the community so successful applicants need to have a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive his car.
No two days are the same but your day might look like this:
- Supporting our person to be engaged in all day to day living activities, including making full use of their community and beyond.
- Supporting our person with social activities.
- Providing, and encouraging, personal care if needed.
- And enjoying what you do
Experience in social care is not essential, we provide a full range of accredited and award winning training programmes at no cost to yourself, including the Health and Social Care Diploma that will really support your career progression.
