Support Senior Leaders and Contribute to Governance Work

ASA Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to work alongside a client in the public sector. The successful candidate will join the Secretariat team, supporting the Executive Management Team, Head of Secretariat, Non-Executive Directors, and corporate governance groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential executive support, managing director mailboxes and diaries efficiently.
  • Track and respond to enquiries, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Offer full secretariat support to governance meetings, including agenda planning and accurate minute-taking.
  • Assist in handling ministerial and parliamentary correspondence and support the corporate governance structure.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals.
  • Mentor and support Secretariat colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Proven PA/EA experience supporting senior managers or directors.
  2. Skilled in governance support and minute-taking.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint).
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  5. Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising a varied workload.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid working opportunity with an office base in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The contract is for an initial 5 months with the possibility of further extension.
