We are seeking an experienced Key Account Development Manager to join our team, focusing on developing and growing key accounts in the roofing industry.
About the Role
This is a field-based sales role, requiring frequent travel to meet with clients and build relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, preferably within the construction or building materials industry.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities and increasing revenue through effective account management.
- Sell a wide range of roofing products, including sheet, rooflights, and accessories, to builders merchants and roofing merchants.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop targeted solutions.
- Manage a portfolio of 200+ key accounts, prioritizing visits and activities to maximize sales potential.
- Liaise with customer services to ensure seamless support for less complex accounts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record in sales, ideally within the construction or building materials sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills, with a focus on growth and revenue generation.
- High energy levels, with a 'knock on doors' mentality and a willingness to progress in your career.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and high-level IT capability.
What We Offer

- A competitive salary range of £40,000-£45,000 per annum, plus up to £10,000 bonus.
