About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Loungers. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and engage the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and excellent service standards.
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including stock control, health and safety, and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen systems and procedures to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve sales and labour targets.
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to ensure a high-performing team.

Requirements
  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cleaning, and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with KPIs and labour forecasting.
  • Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
