About the Role:
As the new Head of Academic English, you'll be joining a dynamic and ambitious team at Thetford Academy. Your primary focus will be on shaping the English curriculum, inspiring teachers, and driving student success. You'll work closely with colleagues to create a world-class learning environment, where every student can thrive.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging, challenging curricula that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Staff Support: Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance teacher skills and confidence
  • Student Progress: Monitor and analyze student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification, with Qualified Teacher Status
  • Significant teaching and management experience in a secondary school setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of achieving high standards
