Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at Centennial Contractors Enterprises Inc. The successful candidate will assist construction project team members in various areas, including preparation of field-related reports, scoping, estimating, procuring, and submittals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with daily reports and other field assignments, including writing scopes of work, job walks, and project buyout support.
  2. Prepare AutoCAD as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
  3. Assist Project Manager during bid negotiations.
  4. Develop detailed line-item takeoffs and pricing, and enter line items into Unit Price Book software using RS Means or other estimating tools.
  5. Prepare bid documents for subcontractors, assemble quotes for review, gather safety information, track progress payments and invoicing, and prepare subcontracts.
  6. Help develop and maintain project schedules.
  7. Ensure compliance with Centennial's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines, and local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have some experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor, and experience with estimating, design, and scheduling software is highly desired. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly desired.

This is a challenging role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving between project sites and will be required to work in an office environment and visit construction sites under various weather conditions.
