Railway Section Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Supervisor to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a section of the rail network, leading a large maintenance team, and driving safety and efficiency across diverse works.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a large maintenance team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to deliver high-quality work
- Drive safety and efficiency across diverse works, including signalling, track, and electrification
- Proactively direct the work of teams delivering inspections, renewals, and maintenance of diverse infrastructure assets
- Plan, inspect, and implement important tactical works, ensuring they are delivered to performance, cost, and quality targets
- Champion safety as a top priority, recommending any necessary renewals and managing budgets to ensure effective resource allocation
- Experience of managing the production and delivery of a comprehensive and compliant work programme
- Able to demonstrate, promote, and embed safe working behaviours within the team
- Able to coach, influence, and develop others
- Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
- Able to lead and implement change and improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, both in person and in writing
