Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Transport First Line Manager to join our team at Ideal Recruit Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of our Transport Plan, leading and motivating a small team to deliver General Haulage KPI's, and ensuring customer requirements are exceeded and compliance requirements are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:- Execution of the Transport Plan through effective management of people, planning, and allocation of resources to ensure delivery times are met and 100% accuracy is achieved.
- Ensuring operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI's, such as 100% on-time deliveries.
- Managing various data streams to support the operation and maintaining strong business relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for holding an in-depth understanding of all commercial elements of each customer contract and raising competencies and performance in all areas of General Haulage activity.
- Proactively managing attendance and absence levels within your team in adherence to company policy and managing all ER issues, including disciplinary, grievances, and absence.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
