About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant. This role requires a strong ability to connect with students who have experienced trauma and face various challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in a small group setting, promoting positive relationships and behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote a safe learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.

This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and all applicants will undergo thorough background checks.
