Job Summary

The New Hospital Programme Finance Directorate is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the Finance Operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional financial services to senior leaders across the Programme.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing specialist financial support and guidance to Directors in managing their delegated budgets. You will also be responsible for:

  • Presenting, interpreting, and explaining complex financial information and concepts to finance and non-finance audiences
  • Completing the Month end management accounts process, including related analysis and portfolio management
  • Leading the Directorate on business planning exercises to ensure resource requirements align with the programme's strategy and milestones
  • Actively participating in the development of the Finance Operations team to support the delivery of NHP's strategic objectives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of AAT qualified, or CCAB or international equivalent part qualified
  • Demonstrable specialist knowledge in a relevant discipline
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to construct and deliver clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately to a diverse range of audiences
