About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with students with special educational needs to provide tailored support and facilitate their learning and development.
  • Assist the SENCO and teaching staff in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and ensuring students receive appropriate accommodations and resources.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students with SEN.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive difference in students' lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability in responding to the diverse needs of students and the school community.
  • For SEN LSAs: Experience working with students with special educational needs and knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions would be advantageous.
